DXLD quarterly archive files for 2002: in order to make room on our primary website for new files, these huge files of 4 to more than 5 MB each have been moved to our overflow site; major links to them have been changed, but some old links may not work. They are now: Jan-Mar 2002, Apr-Jun 2002, Jul-Sept 2002, Oct-Dec 2002. Individual DXLD files archived at DXing.com, checked Oct. 4, 2004, extend no further back than 2-200, despite an index going much further back, and presumably more and more of the oldest ones will be removed as time goes on.

WORLD OF RADIO via BRITISH TELEPHONE TOO --- Following the recent announcement that WOR is now heard via ACB Radio Mainstream, it is worth pointing out that ACB Radio is available via the telephone for listeners in the UK via the local rate number of 0845 3330855, and selecting Option 1. This service is powered by Phoneanything.com, which provides a general service of all manner of information on a different telephone number. This different number is mentioned on the opening announcement when you dial the 0845 3330855 number, so don't be confused and think you have misdialed. All 4 of ACB Radio's streams are available via this telephone service which, to the best of my knowledge, is available *only* in the UK (PAUL DAVID, Wembley Park, United Kingdom, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

Ironically, the "Community Internet Radio, Japan" gets most of its listeners from overseas, mostly North America, and Europe to a lesser extent. There is a small Japanese audience -- or rather, expatriates here in Japan, but the ones who listen (some are also R. LavaLamp volunteers or program contributors) are probably not interested in shortwave radio (Ralph Famularo, Osaka, June 11)

WOR missing from UT Sun 0300 on 9330-CLSB where previously scheduled, so spoke with Allan Weiner, who advises that this has been replaced by 2000 UT Sat on same -- yes, that is just before the airing on 17495-CUSB at 2030 (which actually started at 2032 May 22 after a quick rewind). These two may be merged later to simulcast at one time or the other(?). Also looking for a spot on 5105. Others remain the same: Wed 2200 on 7415, 17495-CUSB; Mon 0100 on 9330-CLSB; Mon 0430 on 7415. WBCQ is getting a wireless 800-MHz broadband connexion, and installing several new computers, which will allow direct streaming, downloading, remote control, etc., hopefully from mid-June or so.
WOR on Different Kind of Oldies stream: Steve Cole advises that he is no longer able to include WOR Sat at 2100. We appreciate it while it was possible.

WBCQ: same thing happened this Saturday, May 8, as last week for the scheduled 2030 UT WOR broadcast on 17495-CUSB: Bro. Scare has not yet started, but Full Gospel Hour ran until about 2033, then dead air altho the transmitter remained on. The UT Sun 0300 broadcast on 9330-CLSB did not start until 0314 due to a tape mixup. WBCQ also has a large hum on its phone lines: all we can say is that there is no hum as the show goes out to them from Enid. The UT Mon 0100 o 9330-CLSB aired nominally. After the Mon 0430 airing on 7415, for some reason, the first few minutes of 1228 were played, cut off at 0504.
